Sun Orchard, an industry-leading manufacturer of all-natural, citrus-based ingredients and culinary solutions for a wide range of food and beverage applications, celebrate 40 years as a trusted partner to leading customers across the US. As it approaches this milestone, Sun Orchard announced several strategic investments that reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and delivering extraordinary value to its customers.

Scaling for growth through new centralised operations and infrastructure enhancements

To support increasing demand and continue serving its existing customers with the highest level of customer service, Sun Orchard has completed the build-out of a 227,000 sq ft centralised warehousing, distribution and operations facility in Davenport, Florida. This new hub consolidates activities previously spread across seven warehouses and includes:

  • A new high-capacity ambient warehouse
  • An expansive refrigerated warehouse
  • A multi-pack line for mixed single-serve beverage packs
  • Modern supply chain and procurement office space

In addition to the new facility in Davenport, Sun Orchard has continued to enhance the infrastructure in ist Tempe, Arizona facility, adding a best-in-class manufacturing line. The Tempe site is now equipped to handle the full breadth of capabilities from extraction to ingredient production and finished product production, with ample room to take on new customers. This strategic move streamlines logistics, improves operational efficiency, and enhances Sun Orchard’s ability to scale.

New aseptic production capabilities

While Sun Orchard remains committed to delivering its core products made with fresh, high-quality fruits and ingredients, the company has commissioned a new state-of-the-art SIG 406 aseptic packaging line at ist Davenport facility to meet the rising market demand for shelf-stable solutions. A second SIG 312 aseptic line is slated for installation and expected to be commercially operational by early 2026, providing additional capacity to support continued growth.

New corporate headquarters and premier innovation center

Sun Orchard has officially relocated its corporate headquarters to 980 N Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL. Co-located in this facility is the company’s new world-class Innovation Center. The Center enables rapid development, consumer testing, and field trial size batching of new ingredients – bridging the gap between concept and commercialisation – with unmatched speed.

To spearhead its next phase of growth, Sun Orchard has appointed Asad Hamid as Vice President of Strategy and Innovation. With over 25 years of leadership experience at Campbell’s, Mars, and Unilever, Hamid brings a proven track record in innovation and transformation and succeeds Tony DeCastro, VP of Development and Commercialisation, in leading the Innovation Center and broader development efforts.
