Dr Christoph Heynen is the new Technical Manager of Flottweg SE in Vilsbiburg as of September 1, 2016. The 51-year-old is assuming his duties as the successor of Manfred Schlarb, who is leaving his position for health reasons. Dr Heynen has already been with Flottweg since June in order to take over his new role with the best possible preparation. His areas of responsibility include development and further development, contract design, documentation, quality assurance and process technology, as well as quality and facility management.

After graduating high school in Erlangen in Franken, Dr Christoph Heynen did his military service as a sport soldier. A passionate cross-country skier, he competed in both German and European championships during that time. Afterwards, Heynen started his studies in production technology at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen. Upon completing an intermediate diploma, he moved to the Technical University of Kaiserslautern to study mechanical engineering. Heynen completed those studies as a Diplom-Ingenieur. For graduate work, he returned to the Friedrich Alexander University, where he worked at the Design Technology Faculty both as an instructor and as a researcher in CAD and CAC systems.

Dr Christoph Heynes's first position in the commercial world was with the company IN A Schaeffler KG in Herzogenaurach. He started there as a preliminary developer in innovation management. In 2006, he moved to the Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen GmbH in Regensburg, where he was responsible for different technical departments as Head of Innovation. Six years later, he signed an employment agreement with Gustav Eirich GmbH & Co. KG in Hardheim. As Technical Director and member of the Board of Directors, he was responsible for the departments of Process Technology, Machines and Systems Design, Electrical Engineering, Research and Development, and Documentation. His greatest successes during this period include the restructuring of product management, optimization of order processing, and a reorganization of the Design department.

As of September 1, 2016, Dr Christoph Heynen has now taken the helm of the Technical Division at Flottweg in Vilsbiburg. He is looking forward to his new tasks with great anticipation: "I am particularly excited about the possibility of taking full responsibility and continuing to build the company. I think I can put my experience to very good use here." The father of three continues, "The company has already made a great impression on me. The atmosphere is very cooperative and has a positive orientation towards the future. A great team!"
