IFU awards
The IFU (International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association) announced earlier this year the re-introduction of their annual innovation and significant contribution awards. The IFU received several excellent nominations, each one worthy of an being a winner making the task of the executive committee tough in deciding the final winners.
The IFU (International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association) announced earlier this year the re-introduction of their annual innovation and significant contribution awards. The IFU received several excellent nominations, each one worthy of an being a winner making the task of the executive committee tough in deciding the final winners. The awards were presented recently at the Gala Dinner of the juice summit held at De Zuiderkroon on the 12th October. They were introduced by Maria Schlaffer (Marketing Director) and John Collins (Executive Director). The awards were presented by IFU Vice-President Kees Cools.
The innovation category was awarded to CFT. A company that started in 1945 and has been associated with developments and innovation ever since. Their Zenith technology involves anaerobic cold extraction of fruit and vegetable purees and the ultrafast deactivation of enzymes. The award was accepted by Mario Gozzi, Sales Manager and Fabio Tedeschi, R&D Manager.
The significant contribution category was awarded to Bucher-Unipektin for their long standing active support for the juice industry, associations, summits, workshops and seminars. The company for over 200 years have provided expertise and experience in the development and manufacture of technically sophisticated individual machines and turn-key lines for fruit juice manufacturing. For the IFU they have provided 2 past presidents as well as senior managers to work in the various commissions. The IFU not only recognise and honour the company but their colleagues as well. The award was received by Hartmut Haverland, Managing Director.
