Eckes-Granini Acquires Danish Juice Producer Rynkeby From Arla

Eckes-Granini Group GmbH, the international corporate group specialized in non-alcoholic fruit beverages under the umbrella of Eckes AG, announced the acquisition of the juice producer Rynkeby Foods A/S, based in Ringe, a Danish city in the Syddanmark region. The seller is the international dairy company Arla Foods amba. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

With 200 employees and an annual production volume of over 130 million litres, Rynkeby is the leading producer of juices and cordials in the Nordic states. Together, the Rynkeby and God Morgon brands hold a strong market-leading position in Denmark. Its strongest foreign market is Sweden. More than 50 varieties of fruits and berries from 25 different countries are processed at the production facility in Ringe.

Eckes-Granini remains committed to its declared goal of combining organic growth with external growth through the acquisition of leading brands. With the integration of these two new brands, the group now controls eleven strategic brands in Europe. Following its latest acquisition, Eckes-Granini is now market leader in Denmark and Sweden, and has extended its market lead in Finland. The group was already represented in the Nordic region with fully-owned subsidiaries in Finland and Sweden as well as in Lithuania (Baltic Region).
