The IFU Technical Workshop on April 20th, 2016 in Berlin, Germany will bring together Technicians and Scientists from the Juice Industry

The IFU announces its first annual Technical Workshop, which will be held in Berlin, Germany, on April 20th. Well-known speakers from the juice industry will give presentations and recommendations to laboratory workers, technicians and scientists. The low participation fees and an early bird rate shall make it possible for everyone to attend.

The idea for a workshop focussing on technical issues was born in IFU`s latest Executive Meeting in fall 2015. The engaged Executive Members formed a project group to put together a seminar reachable, affordable and interesting for everyone who works or intends to work in the juice industry. In the very short time of only a couple of months, the program was arranged and speakers were invited, to be today presented to the public.

A buffet dinner at the nearby Berlin-legendary restaurant “Eierschale” has been organised for the evening of Tuesday, the 19th, as a closing of the IFU commission meetings, which will be held during the day. Members of the juice industry, who want to join these commission meetings and eventually become a member of the legislation commission, the science and technology commission, the methods of analysis commission or the microbiology working group, are welcome to get in touch with the IFU Executive Director, Mr. John Collins. The dinner also serves as networking event for all participants of the workshop itself.

The workshop on Wednesday, the 20th will be divided into 5 sessions, and 17 presentations from well renowned experts in their subject matter will be held. In addition, there is a plenary session debating the pro's and con's of thermal and non-thermal treatments. The full program can be downloaded on the IFU website in the section “What We Do/Events”.

AIJN and SGF kindly support the Technical Workshop, AIJN`s Technical Committee meeting is scheduled for the day after, on Thursday, the 21st.

Tickets to attend the workshop start at 99 Euro (workshop only, early bird rate available until Jan. 17th, 2016) and can be purchased on the IFU website in the section “Shop/Registration”.
