Eurofins Scientific, the global leader in food and feed testing, announces the opening of a new laboratory in Bangalore, India. Eurofins Analytical Service India complements the Group’s global network by providing its customers analytical services related to the following key areas of food safety and composition testing: microbiology, mycotoxins, vitamins, heavy metals, minerals, and proximate analysis. In the future the local service portfolio will be expanded further by offering in addition analysis of fatty acids as well as sugar profiles and the detection of pesticides and antibiotic residues.
So far, Indian customers had only access to Eurofins’ global network of food testing laboratories and Competence Centres. Due to the new laboratory these customers benefit as well from a local fast turn-around testing service combined with a strong local relationship without compromising on quality or reliability. This implies further advantages for customers by saving valuable time in logistics and paying in local currency. This new food testing laboratory is the second facility that Eurofins operates in Bangalore, alongside Eurofins Genomics India, further strengthening its position in Asia.
Recently, three Eurofins laboratories were opened in Asia: two facilities in Shanghai including pharmaceutical testing services and a laboratory in Shenzhen. These activities are all part of Eurofins’ strategy to expand its global presence, particularly in the fast-growing economies of Asia and Latin America, to provide a comprehensive range of services for numerous food, pharmaceutical and retail clients to meet increasingly stringent international standards and regulations.
