FlavorSum, a North American flavour producer, welcomes Beverage Flavors International (BFI), a U.S.-based manufacturer of proprietary beverage flavour bases and sweetener solutions, into the FlavorSum platform. The move will expand FlavorSum’s extensive beverage systems capabilities and segment leadership.

BFI provides complete, ready-to-use flavour bases for both carbonated beverages and still fruit-flavored drinks and supports bottling operations internationally. “BFI’s focus on delivering turn-key solutions for beverage companies looking for high-quality, consistent products and development expertise aligns well with FlavorSum’s mission to streamline flavour sourcing. This acquisition continues our strategy to bring a market-leading toolkit of solutions and resources to growing and disruptive food and beverage companies,” said Brian Briggs, FlavorSum CEO.

“BFI provides comprehensive, end-to-end production support that adapts to the unique market, facility, and flavour requirements of each client,” said BFI CEO Mark Boden. “Our commitment to providing exceptional service and superior flavour at the point of bottling, not just at the point of sale, reinforces FlavorSum’s focus on refreshing beverage solutions.”

Following the close, operations will continue at the BFI’s current facility in Chicago, IL, where the existing team will remain in place supporting beverage flavour and base development.
